A multiplayer game does not stop when you minimize the window. The world lives on the server's tick — a fixed clock that nobody renders, authoritative whether or not a single frame is drawn. Drop your connection mid-match and the match plays on; reconnect, and the world is exactly where the tick left it. What reaches the player arrives as sound over the din of the game, and the scoreboard is never the point.

Intertakt runs interval training on that architecture. The session is authoritative: a clear voice announces every work and rest period and the halfway mark, countdown beeps ride over your own music — music, voice, beeps each at their own volume — and from the first cue the screen can go dark until the last round. HIIT, Tabata, EMOM, rounds: cued by ear, not by display. An incoming call or app switch is a dropped connection, not a crashed server — the session resumes from the exact second it stopped, no restart, no drift.
